Both parents, a grandma, an aunt and an uncle are all proud former Illini.
So when it came time for Abby Funk to pick a college, well, there wasn’t much of a debate.
“The University of Illinois has always been a part of my life," says the development officer at Midwest Seed Genetics.
"I entered as a pre-journalism major and graduated with a degree in accountancy. The many twists and turns of my undergraduate years took me to all sorts of revered places and spaces on campus, but none as sacred as the Stacks in the library.
"There, finding a quite nook to study, amongst the books, was a near spiritual experience for me.”
