David Boje

Management professor | New Mexico State | Class of 1978

Depending upon whom you ask, David Boje is either a member of the UI Class of '78 or '79.

We'll let the New Mexico State management professor explain.

"As the story goes, I was first to get a computer to diablo-printer dissertation accepted by the university. The U of I did not know what to do. All dissertations were supposed to be typed on a computer.

"I had printed it by computer. After a year of hemming and hawing, they decided if I photocopied one, they would accept that one, but not the diablo-printed one. Some kind of rule allowed acceptance of the photocopy.

“My fondest memories are of classes taught by Louis R. Pondy in organizational behavior. He inspired me to become a professor.”
