If Frederick Volkmar remembers it, there's a good chance it happened in the Psychology Building.
"It opened while I was in my sophomore year and I worked there with three professors," says the Yale School of Medicine professor, who earned his bachelor's degree here in 1972.
"I spent many hours playing with rats in my project with Professor Bill Greenough on brain development and recall the long trek from my tiny apartment on the way over at the crack of dawn to spend time with the rat pups.”
