You name it, Timmy Knudsen did it at Espresso Royale.
One part study hub, one part hangout, the Urbana coffeehouse is “a special spot that I will return to on every visit back to Illinois,” says Knudsen, who earned both his bachelor’s (2012) and JD (2015) at Illinois and is now an associate at the Chicago law firm of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLC.
“With a unique — for the area — Spanish architecture on the outside, and the edgy academic cafe vibe on the inside, it was always the perfect place to study at night or to meet a friend to discuss politics.
“To me, it always felt straight out of a classic American movie.”
