UI students who haven't visited the Illinois Leadership Center don't know what they're missing out on.
Take it from Rolls-Royce engineering manager Dan Jensen ('88): It's well worth your while.
“Occasionally, I have the opportunity to speak to freshmen on campus, and one tip that I try to give them is to seek out and take advantage of the Illinois Leadership Center. It did not exist when I was a student on campus, and it´s a tremendous resource for all students, regardless of year in school, major or college.
“The Leadership Center is located on the second floor of the Illini Union in the southwest corner. They offer one-day I-Programs, which I have facilitated, as well as a Leadership Certificate program, a Leadership Minor and workshops. Participation is self-nominating and free.
“When we come to campus to recruit, participation with the Leadership Center is a discriminator and makes students stand out from the crowd.”
