Winning the Cozad New Venture competition did wonders for Jason Febery’s confidence.
Not to mention his career prospects.
"The Technology Entrepreneurship Center hosted the Cozad New Venture Competition in 2011, which I had the fortune to participate in and win with Contendable, the startup I co-founded with Zach Tratar," says the Google product manager.
"My memories of the competition are vivid, full of late nights, little sleep, and lots of coffee — not to mention lots of fun with friends that will last a lifetime.
"The Cozad competition helped me figure out what I wanted to do with my career: to build awesome technology products that will have a positive impact on the world. Along these lines, I just completed my master’s degree from MIT and started as a product manager in Google’s hardware division.
"I owe a huge debt of gratitude to the TEC for helping cultivate my love of technology and putting me on this path."
