As the eight-year executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, Keith Kizer oversaw what in 2013 became the highest-grossing fight of all-time — Floyd Mayweather vs. Canelo Álvarez at the MGM Grand.
These days, he’s back in the kind of job where he can put everything he learned in John Nowak’s UI Law classroom to good use.
“Professor Nowak has a teaching style that worked for me,” says Kizer, now Nevada’s deputy attorney general. “Constitutional law is an interesting subject in and of itself, but he made it even more fascinating.”
