As the joke went, the Florida Avenue Residence Halls were called 'FAR' for a reason.
"It was far away and in 1986-87, there were no buses," says Kevin Pak. "Attendance surely suffered for those 9 a.m. classes."
On the bright side, "there was a basketball court in the basement of FAR. I have really fun memories of playing ball into the night and then eating ramyun or ordering Pizza World pizza late at night.
