Nearly three decades later, Mark Fera still remembers the first time he stepped foot inside Altgeld Hall as a wide-eyed biomedical engineering major.
“It was grand,” says Fera (BA ’89, economics), now the senior VP/managing director of industry solutions at Chicago-based Aprimo and chairman of the board of directors at the Center for Domestic Violence Policy.
“The ornate walls, intricate tile work, winding bannisters, were all very impressive and inspiring. I spent a lot of time there, and it was one of my favorite places, save some very challenging classes, on campus.”
