“Before the U of I Board if Trustees voted to dissolve the Institute of Aviation, Willard Airport is where I earned all of my flight ratings; competed on the flight team; met my long-time adviser — and now good friend and colleague; conducted my preliminary graduate research and developed advanced simulation that saves lives,” says the Madison, Wis.-based president of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Advocacy Network.
“All of these experiences helped me build my company, an FAA Center of Excellence for Aviation Research, and a growing flight program at the University of Wisconsin.”
