Clark Wen

Clark Wen

Game sound designer | Exile Sound of LA | Class of 1994

Here’s to Treno’s, where Clark Wen made this important discovery in the mid-1990s: Grad school wasn’t for him.

Treno’s was my go-to spot on campus," says the game sound designer at Exile Sound of Los Angeles. "I would meet up with my friends majoring in art and English lit and over cigarettes in the back and hear them lament about how worthless their degrees were going to be.

"It was in that back room that I decided I would join them in poverty: I would postpone grad school to pursue my dream of making video games.

“Twenty-three years later, my post-graduate studies are still on hold. I like to think that I have Treno’s to thank for where I am today.”
