Daisy Porter-Reynolds left C-U with more than a master’s degree in library science.
This is also where she met Mr. Right — at an off-campus spot that quickly became a favorite hangout.
“Central Tap on Springfield near Neil,” she says. “That’s where I learned to play pool, worked as a bouncer and met my husband of seven years.”
A 2003 UI alum who did her undergraduate studies at Northwestern, Porter-Reynolds was named executive director of the public library in Illinois’ second-largest city (Aurora) in 2014, following stints in. Arlington Heights; San Jose, Calif.; and New Orleans.
