The College of ACES has David Chicoine to thank in part for a couple of popular spaces.
"I was fortunate to help bring online the ACES quad, including the new ACES Library, Information and Alumni Center and especially the Institute for Genomic Biology," says the college's former dean (1995-2001), who went on to become president of South Dakota State University (2007-16).
"Generations of students and faculty and the state of Illinois will benefit from these modern spaces."
“The second place of unique inspirational change is the Research Park and the incubator, EnterpriseWorks. Without these spaces, the full economic impact of the university on the community, the region and the state could never have been realized."
