Most students in Jennifer Waldinger’s day never heard of the exclusive campus club she belonged to, let alone been considered for membership.
BOSL was short for "Burned Out Student Leaders," says Waldinger, who's now the Central Management COO for the state of Illinois and back in the '90s served as president of the Illini Union Board and student lobbying director of the SGA.
"Some of us got together a few — or maybe more than a few — times a week at R&R Sports Bar & Grill," she says. "We were a very tight-knit group and many of us are still close to this day.
"The group included State Senator Chapin Rose, Assistant Director of the Illinois Department of Central Management Services Markus Veile and others who have gone on to doing great things."
