Enesta Jones

Senior press officer | Environmental Protection Agency

Enesta Jones only spent one year in a dorm but what a one year at the Pennsylvania Avenue Residence halls it turned out to be.

“I vividly remember late nights and early mornings — late nights shooting pool, hanging out in friends’ rooms until the early hours, ordering from Blimpie for ‘dorm service’ and, of course, crash-studying for exams, midterms and finals,” says the D.C.-based senior press officer for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (BS, print journalism), pictured here with brother Preston Jones, a fellow UI grad and Cook County judge.

“I didn’t get much sleep then, but it was all worth it when I think about the teachable moments and experiences that I will forever treasure.”
