“I spent a ton of time not studying at One World Cafe. I think my intentions were to actually get stuff done there, but that never really happened,” says Batt (BS '99, finance).
“It mostly turned into people watching, or simply catching up with people I didn’t see at the classes I had with them that I didn’t go to.
“I spent a lot of nights waiting to get on to bartend at Bub’s, but mostly ended up getting stuck with the beer trough, or slightly better, drinking for free and getting dismissed at 11 p.m.
“All in all, I played a lot of cards and a lot of video games, drank a lot of Stoli at Clybourne, and cram-studied for tests to make up for all the time not spent in lecture halls.
“That’s the truth. Just don’t show this to my kids please.”
