As good luck charms go, a quick rub of an Illinois legend's schnoz always seemed to do the trick for Margaret Clay.
“I attended in the early 1990s and I would say the most memorable ritual for me that was unique to UIUC was rubbing Lincoln’s nose in Lincoln Hall for luck, either for exams or life," says the Charleston, S.C.-based manager of the U.S. Navy's antiterrorism program.
"The blossoms on all of the trees, especially around the Quad and Armory were also especially memorable. I still have some gorgeous photos.”
