Todd Fischer

Senior VP | GMR Marketing | Class of 2003

A day in the mile-a-minute life of future sports marketing bigwig Todd Fischer, circa early 2000s:

"Lots of time in Wohlers Hall for challenging yet thought-provoking classes in statistics, business law and analytics — and a lot of office hours to follow — followed by quick runs to the law school or Huff Hall for electives like sports law and sports sponsorship before chapter meetings/business sessions with Phi Gamma Nu, the business fraternity, and capped off jumping around in the Orange Krush at Assembly Hall."

Now, breathe, something the GMR Marketing senior VP barely had time for back then.

Still, Fischer says, "it was a great lesson in multi-tasking, solving different types of problems and tasks, working together with people from different perspectives and making the most of every opportunity.

"Attending the University of Illinois really honed my desire to integrate business, sports marketing and exposure to new ideas and experiences into a lifetime journey personally and professionally."
