Adrienne Saxe

Community dev. director | Houston Texans | Class of 2004

For a young Adrienne Saxe, the Quad was love at first sight.

"I remember falling in love with the expansive space on my first visit to campus from St. Louis. To me, it was exactly what a college campus should look like: a well-manicured lawn, students criss-crossing to class, the classical buildings. I loved everything about it and decided that Illinois was my place," says the community development director of the NFL's Houston Texans.

"During my four years, it remained a favorite spot; it was as beautiful in the winter covered in snow as it was in the spring and summer with crazy squirrels chasing each other and students — including me — sun bathing, reading and playing Frisbee.

"I loved all the action and that quintessential part of campus life.”
