The music Dan Farris made at the Harding Band Building was almost as exquisite as his favorite menu in all of Campustown.
"An old haunt that was awesome for Friday night beers, billiards and the incredible fish sandwich was DeLuxe. I shed a tear when it closed and was torn down," says Northwestern's director of athletic bands.
“My time at Illinois was some of the best of my life, and I owe so much to the U of I band program and conductors who had such a huge influence on my career.
“I have to say I was all in with the Illinois bands and spent almost all my time in the Harding Band Building. Many great musical memories from that place and what a magnificent collection of the Sousa Archives."
