Alan Ruck

Alan Ruck

Actor | Ferris Bueller’s pal | Class of 1979

Back in Alan Ruck's day, the late, great Deluxe Lunch & Billiards (522 East Green Street) was a must-stop to start the weekend.

“Every Friday, they would serve the most delicious fish sandwich I have ever eaten in my life,” says Ruck (BA ’79), whose 100-plus TV and movie credits include the role of worrywart Cameron in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.”

Among the places he called home during his time on campus: Room 227, Taft Hall, as is noted on the plaque outside the door: Alan Ruck — Actor — Lived Here.
