Alex Shirazi’s trip down Illini memory lane begins in the cutting room at the Art + Design building.
“This is where students would crop their work after a successful print,” says the managing director of the Bay Area retail software consultancy Phlint.
“There was something great about that room because it was used for only cutting but you could tell that everyone that made it to that room had accomplished 99 percent of their project.
“The only thing that remained was cutting off the edges of the print.”
