Her view these days is of fashion runways and photo shoots. But back before she was Beth Bugdaycay — renowned fashion designer — she liked to sit back and people watch on the UI Quad.
“When I think of U of I, I think of the Quad,” says the Class of ’94 grad, whose career highlights include co-founding the jewelry line Foundrae and serving as CEO of the women’s clothing line Rebecca Taylor.
“It was where I studied and where I played hacky sack — really. I’d also sit still sometimes and see all the various surrounding buildings and people; it made me feel connected to the whole, part of something bigger and grander, a doorway to what could be.”
