The hours were for the birds. But the experience was life-changing, Bianca Flowers realizes now.
“I can’t recall how many insomniac nights I spent in edits bays at the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics working on sports highlight reels and recording voiceovers," says the New York multimedia consultant.
"Being exposed to high-quality equipment and resources honed my production chops pretty early on after being hired as an intern my sophomore year. The 7 a.m. crew calls on chilly Saturday mornings for homecoming games and 10 p.m. teardowns during bitter cold winter nights was nothing to look forward to.
“Yet, I credit some of my best projects that I’ve published in my career so far to the exceptionally talented fulltime staff who trained and took a chance to bring me on board the team.”
