"From the classic architecture, to the various different types of brick used in its construction that you’ll see placards of when you walk the halls, the Ceramics Building means a lot to me both personally and professionally," says Brett Walker (Ph.D. '13), CEO of Austin, Texas-based Electroninks Incorporated.
"I spent many a week — and weekend — in the labs there during graduate school. I also met my wife there and even have a picture of the front of building in my house as a constant reminder.
“It’s hard for me to think of my time at UIUC without thinking of the Ceramics Building.”
