On the off chance that the Illini Inn reopens one day, Don Ross ('00) will be ready.
"I still have my original Mug Club card. I laminated it to preserve it from falling apart. I never thought the card would outlive the bar itself," says SAP Fieldglass' senior project manager.
"I keep hope that the Illini Inn is resurrected. I carry the card in my wallet in hopes some bar will honor the Mug Club.”
Many of Ross' fondest Illini memories are set at the Illini Inn, where he and his fraternity brothers were pinball regulars in between classes.
"We lived across the street and could sneak in a game and a beer, even if we only had a spare hour," says the 2000 industrial and enterprise systems engineering grad.
