If it happened to Pat Fitzgerald at Illinois, odds are it involved Sigma Chi, his Greek home away from home.
“From my initial weekend on campus when our house hosted a 25-keg ‘New Student Week’ party — paid for by the Re-elect Governor Thompson campaign; imagine the headlines that would generate today — to the lifelong friendships I made, the Sigma Chi house and its brothers are a fond memory,” says the Urbana native turned Champaign attorney (BA '86/economics, JD '89/law).
“I remain in close contact with a number of my fellow Sigs and we often reminisce about our days playing IM sports, cramming for exams and going to Kam's to chase cute coeds — one of which I was lucky enough to convince to marry me, Susan Jorgensen Fitzgerald.”
