A favorite professor turned Jodi Kawada Page onto a work of art she might not have even knew existed otherwise.
Before long, it became the future Uber spokeswoman's favorite spot.
“One place that I would visit often for inspiration was the university’s plaster cast of the famed ‘Gates of Paradise’ Baptistery doors in Florence, Italy," she says. "It really sparked in me a love of art and travel.
“A little bit of Florence in Champaign-Urbana — who knew? These types of treasures make U of I special and reinforce the university’s connection to the world.”
