Elegant. Pleasant. Inspiring. Passionate.
Those are just a few of the words Raymond Fu would use to describe the academic atmosphere in the building he practically called home as a grad student from 2004-08.
Looking back, the Shiseido Americas senior vice president and Northeastern University professor considers those long hours at the Beckman Institute “the golden time of my career development and academic adventures.”
“Never stop dreaming and believing, never stop trying and learning. My experiences and lessons gained during this period formed my current strong sense and understanding of ‘creativity is intelligence having fun,’ says Fu (MS ’06/statistics, Ph.D. ’08/electrical and computer engineering).
