Don’t let the name fool you. In the early '70s, Second Chance was first-rate.
“It was my go-to spot on campus in the early ’70s when we wanted to enjoy ourselves," says Stephan Wiet ('76), who now heads up the U.S. and global consumer research operations for the pharmaceutical arm of Johnson & Johnson.
"The drinking age was lower back then. Always crowded with the large back bar and dark, and cave-like stone drinking rooms.
“Round Robin was right next door, with the go-go girl murals on the wall.
“And of, course I miss the Friday fish sandwiches at the DeLuxe.”
