Phi Sigma Sigma is where Tatyana McFadden — not yet the world-renowned wheelchair racer — knew she'd come to the right campus.
"I lived in IT for my first year and then moved into a apartment," says the Soviet Union-born, Maryland-raised 17-time Paralympic medalist. "I joined Phi Sigma Sigma and those girls were some of my best friends in college. I was easily able to fit in and was never judged.
"I could even call those girls today and they would do anything. Some of the nicest people."
