The morning of Sept. 11, 2001, Travis Steiner (Class of ’03) was at Huff Hall, where many of his sports management courses were held and where the PGA Tour executive logged countless hours.
But this morning was like none he'd experienced previously, or since.
His professor pulled up the Internet on the projection screen, as he did before every class, just as CNN was reporting that the second tower had been hit at the World Trade Center.
“Everyone’s reaction and the feeling in the room was a moment I will never forget," Steiner says.
