Not a day passes that Vicki Ku doesn’t think about a professor she came to admire — and a line of Paul Lansing's she tries to live by.
“I’ve met many interesting people in this world and looking back on college, I was drawn to Professor Lansing as he was a genuine original thinker,” says the 2009 finance grad and Dean’s List regular, now a senior product manager at Airbnb.
“He’s a clever and tough cookie, and encouraged us to write business cases about real-life ethical scenarios — I did not hold back.
“I shall always remember the line he delivered to us in class: ‘Ignorance of the law is not OK. Ignorance of the facts is.’ I think about this line daily.”
As for a second-favorite UI memory, that’s easy, too.
“Sunbathing on the Quad as if it were the French Riviera. #collegelife,” Ku writes from the Bay Area.
