If he could turn back the clock — if even only for a few hours — Ariel Avila knows just the place he’d go.
“I was actively involved in student government and vividly remember spending a lot of time — probably too much — in the student government offices, which were located on the second floor of the Illini Union,” says the Gies College of Business grad (BS ’07, finance), now the general manager at Sonder of Montreal.
“It was not only a spot to have meetings, debates and plan events, but also kick back and talk — and goof off — with those that I eventually became good friends with during my time at Illinois. It also proved to be a good study place.
“Looking back, it was easy to take those experiences for granted. I wish I could go back and relive those memories for just a day.”
