You didn't have to have a varsity letter to enjoy what Hussain Almossawi ('10) remembers being a "phenomenal" UI sports culture.
Take it from a graphic design major who'd go on to work for Nike, EA Sports and, since 2016, Adidas.
"One of the places I had the best times at when at the U of I had to be CRCE and the Arc," says Almossawi, a concept designer at Adidas' Brooklyn (N.Y.) "Creator Farm."
"We used to go two to three times a week and play basketball and soccer — it was really competitive at all times.
"I also participated in tournaments and leagues with my friends, and that’s actually how I made most of my friends on campus."
