Managing director | J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. | Class of 1989

Kam’s had the bigger crowds, DeLuxe the better grub, Murphy’s the wider selection of adult beverages.

But in the late '80s, Jeff Stute’s late-night go-to spot was none of the above.

“Some of my fondest memories happened at the Illini Inn on Fourth Street,” says the New York-based managing director of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (BS ’89, finance).

“While many of the other bars were a lot more popular and crowded, I loved to play darts. And I especially loved to play darts with friends of mine.

“My fraternity was on Third Street, so we had many opportunities to stop by on our way to or from somewhere. Great times with great friends at a great school.”
