You name it, Jennifer Card did it at the Illini Union.
"It’s where I studied, spent time between classes, picked up coffee to fuel the hours-long study sessions, enjoyed reading The Daily Illini, and grabbed a bite to eat with friends," says the 2008 grad, now senior counsel at McDonald's.
"I spent a fair amount of time at the Undergrad, Engineering and Law libraries, but I always felt most comfortable at the Union, whether sitting on the couches in the South Lounge reading The Daily Illini, chatting in the Courtyard Café or, when I really needed a quiet spot to focus, working through outlines in the quiet enclaves of the Pine Lounge.
"Lots of fun was had here too – whether bowling in the basement or enjoying the nicer weather from the south patio."
