It wasn't just the yummy pizza that made Papa Del's a favorite hangout of Kent Becker and his Sherman Hall friends.
The banter among buddies that those Wednesday night visits produced was every bit as memorable.
"We discussed economics, grad school developments, current events and politics in a verbal free-for-all, a nice way to unwind after a day of classes and studying," recalls the Moody's senior vice president. "Opinion-wise, we were a fairly diverse group and there were plenty of views on many sides of issues.
"I keep up with some of the grad students facilitated through social media, particularly after the Cubs' World Series win. I live in New York City now; although the city has much to offer, nothing here measures up to the great Papa Del’s and the memories from the place."
