What Friday and Saturday nights were to undergrads, Tuesdays were to Neal Kitchen (’10) and a few of his fellow molecular biology doctoral students.
That was half-off day at Zorba’s, and “we had the timing down perfect on when to arrive to beat the crowds and enjoy a euro with the works and a basket of fries,” says Kitchen, now the COO of the Issaquah, Wash.-based cosmetics company HydroPeptide.
“Topics of conversation ranged from research we working on to Illini basketball — and everything in between.”
