Stephen Hoh

Illini tennis, 2011-14 | Now coaching in Australia | Class of 2014

The setting for Stephen Hoh’s Illini postcard memory is the main Quad.

Not the bustling fall version but rather the sleepy, peaceful summertime one that precedes it.

“With most of the university’s population away on break, and only a few students on campus for summer classes, the Quad was a place that always brought me peace and relaxation,” says the four-year Illini tennis letterman and former Big Ten all-academic team honoree (BS ’14 business process management), who’s now head coach at Zenith Tennis Academy in Melbourne, Australia.

“When I think of my time at Illinois, I always remember lying on the grass just outside Foellinger, with a handful of friends talking about things that don’t matter, without a worry in the world.”
