She comes from a long line of proud Illini, so Alison Osterbur knew her way around Memorial Stadium and the Assembly Hall well before she arrived on campus.
"There was nothing better than walking into Memorial Stadium and Assembly Hall — the excitement of the crowds, the traditions and celebrating victories with my family and friends. To walk into those stadiums as a freshman was almost surreal," says NBCUniversal Media's vice president of human resources.
"But that was nothing compared to the first time I walked on to the field and the floor as a sophomore, in my first year as a member of the Illinettes dance team. To cheer on our Illini while my family and friends watched on was an amazing honor that I’ll cherish forever.”
