You name it, Chris Gersch did it at the late, great C.O. Daniels.
“Doorman, bartender, general manager,” says the Chicago entrepreneur and 2004 grad, who worked at the beloved former Campustown bar all four years he spent at the UI.
“Whether it was TimeWarp Tuesdays — ’80s music only, Dollar Bottle Wednesdays or Guest Bartender Thursdays, it was always a place to find a friend, kick back and have a good time.
“C.O. was the wild child in the Cochrane Enterprises family. I was sad to hear that it was sold and eventually closed.
“That said, I still hear crazy stories from fellow alumni giving me confidence that C.O.D.s still lives on.”
