As an outside hitter for Kevin Hambly’s volleyball teams from 2009-12, Tayler Onion has seen every Big Ten campus other than the two newbies (Maryland, Rutgers).
And she’s here to tell you: “There is not one more beautiful than the University of Illinois.”
Hard as it is to single out one place on campus, "I’d be remiss if I didn’t name George Huff Hall specifically,” says Onion (BS ’13, advertising), now the assistant director for student-athlete enhancement at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
“Huff Gymnasium is home to a good majority of my favorite memories from college — long hours of hard work in the gym with my favorite people, come-from-behind wins, and sellout ‘Stuff Huff’ matches, just to name a few.
“There is no place quite like the University of Illinois, and there certainly is no other place like Huff Hall.”
