"I just loved the atmosphere when walking across the Quad to classes or the Union and seeing all the students hanging out," says the former UI tennis star, who now calls Apex, N.C., home.
"Quad Day was always really fun — hundreds of student organizations set up booths and you could walk around and talk to the members. I was always too busy with tennis to join any groups but thought it was cool there were clubs for any interest, from gardening to skydiving."
